Ageo Bergamini, founded the company ATA, making use of his experience as department head at FIAT Tractors in Modena. These tractors for towing were first used particularly in the furnaces and in the airport field already by the early 1960s. It is in these years that he had the brilliant intuition to return to and industrialise the project of the "Leprotto" tractor, the celebrated tractor of the early 1950s conceived by ex- FIAT employees and still in production today.
